Jason Hersh is Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner, and Co-founder of Klein Hersh―a global leader in strategic leadership placement solutions for the life sciences and healthcare industry. He is responsible for managing strategic growth, organizational culture, and career development across the firm.
Since the establishment of Klein Hersh in 1998, Jason has been instrumental in building it into one of the largest life sciences executive search firms in the world, and more specifically, the world’s largest single site recruitment firm when measured by revenue and placements.
Jason believes that while the firm is officially in the executive search business, Klein Hersh is actually in the relationship business. He and his partners have developed a unique business model that segments a team of dedicated placement specialists into more than 15 unique practice areas, enabling each subject matter expert to acquire a deep knowledge of their distinctive area and the talent within it.
The subsequent formation of trusted, long-term relationships results in the highest quality, most efficient executive searches across the continuum of drug development and healthcare. This focus on relationships is also reflected in an average tenure of 12 years among members of the Klein Hersh team. Jason and his partners are committed to providing each team member with the tools and resources needed to achieve success. And they share the philosophy that data plus efficiency equals market mastery.
In 2022, Jason and his partners established a succession plan that would directly benefit team members, and preserve the culture, vision, core principles, and values that have guided Klein Hersh since its inception. Through a transfer of ownership from the firm’s partners to its employees through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), Klein Hersh is now proudly 100% employee owned. The firm’s leadership remains unchanged.
Aligned with his commitment to lead skillfully and by example, Jason is a longtime member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO)―an international community of chief executives who continually strive to become better leaders and better people.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys travel, unique experiences, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. His hobbies include surfing, boating, fishing, and snowboarding, and he is a passionate fan of every sports team in his hometown of Philadelphia. He currently resides in Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania with his wife and three teenage children.
