Position Overview

Our client is a fully integrated marketing, communications, and advocacy agency for clients exclusively within the health space.

Our client is seeking a VP, Data Science, Client Solutions who will play an important leadership role within the Data Science team. The VP will lead a team responsible for internal and client facing consulting projects including client BI, audience analytics, data strategy, and the ongoing adoption of AI. This is a newly created position will partner with our key life sciences clients focused on leveraging data and analytics to advance commercial & brand strategy, medical affairs scientific strategy, clinical development, and other areas. Specific tasks range from leading territory design & advisory consulting, advising on site of care selection for clinical trials, leading engagements focused on automation using AI, and/or support market size evaluation for emerging pipeline assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Thought Leadership
    • Design, architect and develop innovative and forward-thinking solutions for our life sciences practice focused on Commercial & Omnichannel use cases
    • Expand the use of data sciences and advanced statistical frameworks for predictive market insights
    • Be a thought leader and evangelist for use of data analytics to advance commercial strategy and drive better insights and outcomes for our internal teams and clients
  • Grow the Business
    • Ensure Data Analytics solutions drive new client acquisition and new business development.
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and innovative technology to hyper-target narrow customer segments
    • Develop and launch new / innovative data-driven capabilities for our clients
  • Client Consultation
    • Oversee the measurement strategy for clients through discovery and development of measurement plans, learning agendas, and test plans
    • Focus on clients by designing and delivering cutting edge data sciences research, that deliver sustainable growth and client value
    • Oversee client communications and deliverables, help them understand the story in a simple and concise way and communicate success of client’s marketing efforts
    • Shows a deep understanding of digital marketing and media (both digital and offline) landscapes and technology, and is able to leverage data to create an effective and efficient customer experience
    • Is analytical minded, driving data capture for post analysis and interpreting the results into insights
    • Develop performance scenarios based on the expected outcome and guide optimization recommendations with internal capabilities and client
    • Has deep understanding of and experience with omnichannel campaigns, inclusive of trigger mapping and connecting NPP to field activity

Key Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or MBA (with a business focus such as Statistics, Economics, Finance or Marketing) required
  • 10+ years of business experience in marketing consulting or pharma experience
  • Expertise within the digital environment and in aligning marketing strategies with our needs
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, segmentation, targeting, direct marketing and customer care)
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects across our teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive and ability to achieve meaningful results
  • Ability to lead, influence and collaborate with colleagues at all levels
  • Deep, cross functional Life Sciences knowledge and with direct experience delivering projects for: R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, TechOps, Digital, M&A or BD&L.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into simple terms and lay them out for a variety of stakeholders
  • Pharma Life Science Experience preferred
